Message	recommendation, I've had the same issue as the OP where the fluid gets so hot it expands creating pressure that will no longer allow the clutch to stay enganged, even when the pedal is not depressed? I agree the hole needs to stay open, but when the pedal is adjusted per your recommendation, it pushes the rod/plunger further out from where it is stock potentially blocking that hole without the pedal being depressed, bearing little effect down below as you stated the slave is self-adjusting.
